We collect personal data only when you actively provide it:

Contact form — name, email address, phone number (optional), business name, selected service package, and any message you write.
SMS / text message inquiries — your phone number and the content of messages you send or receive as part of our outreach or your reply.
Website usage data — pages visited, approximate location (country/region), browser type, and referral source via Google Analytics (see section 7).

We do not collect payment card information, government ID numbers, or any sensitive personal data.

3. Purpose & Legal Basis

We process personal data for the following purposes:

Responding to your inquiry — to answer questions and provide the service you asked about. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures).
Business outreach via SMS — if you received a text from us, we found your business contact information from a publicly accessible source (e.g. Google Business Profile) and sent a one-time outreach message about our website service. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in business-to-business direct marketing).
Website analytics — to understand how visitors use our site and improve it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) or consent where required.

4. Retention

We retain contact form submissions and SMS correspondence for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any resulting business relationship, typically up to 3 years. After that period, data is deleted unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. tax records) require longer storage.

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default settings (up to 26 months).

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as needed to operate our services:

Email service provider (Zoho Mail / similar) — to send and receive emails. A data processing agreement is in place.
SMS provider (Twilio, Inc., San Francisco, CA, USA) — to send and receive text messages. Data is transferred to the US under Twilio's standard contractual clauses. See Twilio Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics (Google LLC, Mountain View, CA, USA) — anonymized website usage statistics. Data transfer covered by standard contractual clauses.
Cloudflare R2 / hosting infrastructure — to store and serve website assets.

No data is sold or rented to advertisers or data brokers.

6. SMS & Text Messages

If you received an SMS from us, it was a one-time business outreach message. Your phone number was sourced from a publicly accessible business directory. We do not maintain automated marketing SMS lists.

To opt out: Reply STOP to any message from us. You will receive no further messages. You may also email us at hello@yourlocalsites.com to request removal.

If you contacted us by SMS, we will use your number only to respond to your inquiry and will not add you to any mailing or marketing list without your explicit consent.

7. Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to collect anonymized usage statistics such as page views, session duration, and approximate geographic location. IP addresses are anonymized before storage. Google may transfer this data to servers in the United States.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data.
Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests (including direct marketing).
Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
